Opinions - Wheels on DWP and Forged vs. Other Techniques
Have chrome Revos's on car now (second set due to bending)
. Really like how they look, basic, clean, but they do not last on NYC roads.
I keep reading posts on suggestions to buy Forged. But what brands other that Ray's(Volk, G-Grams) and BBS make forged wheels. I have seen a few others, but have a hard time getting them in 17"x7" +40 which is all I think I want to avoid more future bends. Also these wheels are crazy expensive. I wish I can find a nice forged wheel in the $250-$300 range.
If not forged wheels, what about SSR/SSF (semi-solid forged) or Enkei's/MAT (Most advanced Technologies) processes. Any opinions on these for durability. They seem to be expensive as well though.
I have found a potential rim and wanted some feedback on how they thought it would look on a DWP car and perform. They are a light grey with white lettering, not sure how they would look on a DWP colored car.
They aren't forged, but it is i think high speed cast, sounds better than plan old cast. WedsSport TC005. Please let me know what you guys think and maybe offer other suggestons, remember 17"x7" +40 only. I want to avoid rim bending and steering wheel dancing, and want to be a little affordable too since the car has 85k miles on it and would't want to spend $2300 on rims now. Maybe I should have thought of this 50k miles ago.
Pic of car with chrome Revos. Wish they were still available and stronger.
Thanx
