Tire rack sells a bit cheaper, but with shipping, it probably wouldn't be any better. 35 isn't bad at all.

Sometimes you don't and sometimes you do need them....
For me example, i need them cause my camber is messed up on the driver front wheel, i hit a low curb while we had an ice storm and it messed up my driver front camber.
So wheneva i lower my car i'll be gettin' some camber bolts for my car.

Yeah, i think we dont need them either, although my shop tried to get me to buy them when they saw i was lowered. they wanted $57 for one bolt + $40 in labor, at least your shop isnt that bad.

Ebay has them for $29shipped for a kit though (front L&R)...

As a general rule of thumb, when installing...you don't need them. But if your alignment guy always has issues with your camber and your having issues with uneven tire-ware...then you will need it. Thus far, KNOCK on wood, i'm good..but its only a matter of time for me (and some of you all).

^^^^ He said it best.... Some people don't need them, but some unfortunate people WILL need them. When you take your car in for an alignment, you will find out if you need them or not.

Uneven tire wear can be attributed to a lot of things however. You must deduct each case before you conclude it's the camber. Did you know un-aligned toe will actually mess up your tires more? I heard that in-correct toe alignment will actually account for 70% of tire wear, camber is just about 20%, and improper air pressure the rest 10%. Make sure it's really the camber before you spend money on a camber kit.

if u need em just get em. they are easy to install and easy to adjust, although i perfer it being laser-ed corrected.

i had crucial camber issue on my tib when i dropped it 2.5inch on ground controls. The cam bolts that goes in the struts are easily adjusted by turning the cam bolt.

and yes toe wear has more tire wear than camber..

having wheels pointed towards each other is a killer

I hear what your saying, but are you hearing what we're saying?? we can't decide whats causing this..we can only speculate. Your best bet would be to go get some life-time-alignment somewhere (i've got mine at firestone on a Wednesdays - ladies special for $129.99 - suckered my wifee to go in for this). There they will tell you whats causing your uneven tire ware.

It's easy to check the camber yourself. Get a straight piece of board the lenght of the wheel diameter, tape a torpedo level to it (walmart sells these 9" levels for dirt cheap), pull straight into a reletively level area, and hold the board against the rim top-bottom. Idealy, the horizontal bubble should be just touching the outter line, indicating that the top of the tire is slightly closer to the car's centerline than the bottom. If it is your outside edge that is wearing, and the bubble is toward the inside, then you need a kit, or if it is the inside of your tire that is wearing, and the bubble leans excesively into or past the outside line, you need the kit. If the bubble looks good (slightly off-center), then maybe it is another factor. Most places will do a toe alignment no matter what, though; so if you're still wearing, it's because you need the kit. :P
