As for the pics they're sweet. They remind me of are just another reason why I love the Supra. I can't imagine doing the valve stem seals for instance on that head, 4 cams... goddamn, lol. Keep us all updated with progress. How much boost are you going for?

Where did you get your sway bar?

I've been in contact with Whiteline engineering and they refuse to make one that actually FITS the Solara! (either Gen 1 or 2)

I'm taking mine off soon and going back to OEM - I'm tired of the creaking/squeaking/thumping under the front of my car (not to mention regular lube at least once a month!)

Good luck with your ride.

Are you doing the work with the shop or are they doing it all? After looking at the pics of your engine I wish I would have replace my timing belt myself. Just to get more experience. It doesnt look like it would be that hard. I think the scariest part would be making sure you dont let the crank or cam shafts rotate with no belt on.

Im not sure what you mean, but I think in the haynes manual you have to mark the locations and make sure you put everything back in the same position.

Really, at the most you would only be off by a tooth or two. So no biggie. It's not likely you'll spin anything unless you mess with it.

DatSRBoi wrote: Still wish you builted it by yourself. Guess what I wanted out of that car no longer exist.

As for me, I would rather have a shop rebuild my short block. They know rebuilding FAR more than me and have done it 100's of times. Most of us may do it once or twice.
