Front brake pads and rotors...
Hi guys,
I dropped off my car this morning for an oil changed & tire rotation at my local Toyota dealership.
Moment ago, a technical guy called me informing that my front brake pads are down to 10% and I need to replace them ASAP. He also mentioned that the rotors need to be rounded up as well.
The total cost for brake pads + rotors services = $275 plus tax.
What do you guys think about the price?
I told him not to do it because i will take care of it myself.
The thing annoys me is I always take my car to that dealership's shop since I bought the car there.
Last time (3 months ago) during an oil change, they said I needed to change the battery, and nothing about the brake. (i didn't change the battery, and now it's ok, wtf?)
Now only 3 months and 2500 miles later, the fricking brake pads are down to 10%, and the rotors needed to be serviced?
My car has 34k miles, and is 2000 SE V6.
I'm about to question my dealership's shop...
I can take care of changing the brake pads. However, do you guys think do I really need to have my rotors services?
Thanks.
