Official QuickSEV6s project thread
Hey all,
As many of you know, Almost 2 years ago, I bought a Yaris to get me to and from work. I drove the Yaris so often that I neglected my Solara. My Solara sits safely in my garage with a dead battery.
About 8 months ago, I got a job only 4 miles from home. This means the Yaris is no longer required. So here is a list of things that I need to do to get my Solara road worthy again.
- Supercharger oil change (bought the kit about a year ago)
- New plugs (Bought a set of of NGK BKR6EQUP about 2 years ago)
- New wires (Bought a set of magnecors about 8 months ago)
- Install supercharger belt tensioner (I'm embarassed to say I bought this about 4 years ago - my supercharger is so old that it came with the original "no tensioner" plate)
- Intall new supercharger belt (bought it about 2 years ago)
- Install Jims torque rod (bought it on the last group buy about a year and a half ago)
- Install Jims fuel mod (bought it about 3 years ago)
- Install high temp thermostat (bought this 3 years ago)
- Radiator drain and flush
- Oil & filter change
- New battery
I've had all of these parts laying around for a long time. I guess I was just too lazy to install them. Now, I'll be doing all of these installs in the next couple of days. My Solara will soon be on the road again.
Soon after, I have other big plans.
New suspension
New exhaust
New wheels
I'll keep you all updated with my progress and I'll also post pics.
Stay tuned to this thread.
