PIcs From Stock to S-tech to JICS + Wheel Damages.
Here is my old stances
Stock-
Teins-
JICs-
^^right after i installed the coilovers while on presets. I lowered it about .75" in the rear and .5" in the front.
REview on MY Jics- Okay, Coilovers for all you newbees is great cause you can handle like a mofo on the street. You can adjust your height and it will not mess up ur spring rate. The height adjustability is Awesome. If you want it lower, done, spin couple things and viola. The comfort wise learned is different than the shock spring combo.
Honestly, i think shock spring for Daily driving is good. Its comfy but you can hang a typical left or right turn to another block and its fun.
The JICs are stiff and knowing that coilovers want to stick on the floor, when u hit a dip and come down, You get pulled back down on your seat fast too. So sometimes it gets a bit uncomfortable.
Here is my most comfy setting:
Front=2 rear= 3
Rides smooth on the dam SF roads and light on a dip.
One more thing.... im a Slam-a-holic.
Front has 3 more spins before it bottoms out. It is about 1/8" tucked in the fender.
Rear has 18 more spins, but im tucked like .25 and .50 with a 140lb passenger in the back.
Pictures didnt do justice.
I rub in Sf on dips....
i cant turn more than half wheel spin going up a curb or i will bend my fenders.
So yesterday i went driving to buy some metal for my product design class, i got out the car and saw this. I had a 175lb dude in my rear seat, so im guessin i bottomed out.
That chunk is a lil less than .5"x .3" on my left rear.
Hella weird, i never seen this type of damage to a wheel before. Now the question is: was it caused from my fender hitting the wheel? or was it a pot hole.
U guys remember this-
I HATE San Francisco ROADS
Anyways, i raised the rears up to 23 spins now and i made the ride not as stiff so i can do my daily grind comfortably.
Thats my thought of things. This is the draw back of trying to make your car look good.
BTW-^^^^those pictures were taken before i lowered the car more and with an almost empty gas tank.
