idle rpms are jumpy
I recently purchased my solara with 75,000 miles and the engine is now starting to act up at idle. Last night was the worst when the engine would start at 800rpm drop to 600, back to 800, drop to 500 almost killing it and then jumping back to 800-1000. This cycle repeated about 5 times before I turned her off. I have also noticed the droping to 500 and kicking back up to normal idle rpms while out and about and stopped at a light. Is this simply a timing issue that will be resolved when i replace the timing belt, or do i have some serious issues to reckon with?
