Have anybody recently cleaned and oiled the air filter?

Not me. I haven't cleaned or oiled my filter since I bought it, which was like 7 months before this problem started happening.

Before I was s/c i had the same problem, the first thing the mechanic at toyota ask was if i had an air intake. Supposedly excess oil from the filter travels into the throttle body, he suggested a carb cleaner called Dragons fire i think its made by castle its what the dealership uses to clean the throttle bodies. It fixed the problem till recently.....I'm gonna use it again and see if it helps.

for the A/f ratio i believe the warmer your engine gets the leaner it runs, i've had my ratio up into the low 17's at stop lights at idle (600rpm) after i push her a little bit and as soon as i start moving it goes back to normal. I dont usually have it turned on all the time as i find it a little distracting but i'll keep it on to monitor....

My car actually stalled tonight. I was racing someone on the highway for about 30 mins and then get off the highway and come up to a red light and the RPMs went low like it often does upon coming to a stop after boosting, except this time it got so low my car stalled. When the RPMs were really low I tried gassing it before it quit but I was too late.

Put the car into park and turned the ignition. The car took about twice the time to start up than usual. It was just really reluctant to start back up...

:/

If I remember correctly. The 1MZ and 5S have had issues with the Idle Control Valve. It was a common problem for allot of Camry guys back in the day. I had a Gen 3 with the 5S and replace that part TWICE in the life time I had the car. I know of a few SG members that has replaced it as well.

But my car also has 385k miles when it was totaled.
I know of a few ppl that has changed this part, but just not many has really posted here about it or talked about it too much.

Update: I think I found my problem. I have a leak on my back header immediately before the O2 sensor and I think air was getting sucked in when I was manually shifting and throwing off my AFR.

Looks like it might not have had anything to do with my IAC after all. OR, I have a combination of both. But patching up the leak definitely shows a noticeable improvement in AFR consistency and responsiveness (i.e. AFR quickly returns to normal 14.7:1 AFR at low throttle after engine braking).

hmmm so you think that can be the problem?

that happend to me on wednsday night, i went to the street races (no flaming please lol), and when the cops came we all took off and when i came to dead stop my car completely turned off. then when i turned it on the idle just kept dropping and coming back up..,.

and yesterday out of nowhere my exhaust got loud as hell, i took it a muffler shop to check it out and turns out my flex pipe got about a 2 cm hole in it which is causing the increase in noise.

hmm. have you had this issue before? maybe not your car turning off, but low idling?

The car has never turned off but the idling is most of the time after high boosting
