They have run a couple thousand miles with it applied and no problems! Also were talking almost 100 HP+ Dyno proven! Of coarse anything that is unique and the demand is low its going to be priced high. Of coarse you can pay lower custom fitting turbos but why go through the headache of that questionable reliability that you’re looking for. Owning an i4 already why get a (preowned) - 1mz-fe to then get the trd SC?
I think that’s spending more money when you can invest in getting more power out of your own 5s-fe with rippmods at a safe 5.5 psi. You can't get 100 hp gains with the 1mzfe trd sc alone and have that 'reliability' your looking for unless someone has a dyno to prove me wrong. To each is own but that’s my .2 cents.
I would love to see a rippmoded 5s-fe and trdSC 1mz-fe on a drag race. Both with the same psi pulley size would be fair.
