Not true . . . it all depends on the skills the driver has and how you are racing. I had a 99 Prelude SH 5speed two years ago and lost to a 2000 BMW 330 (my friends). I raced him again with my 99 SE Solara 5speed and smoked his butt this time.
Now back onto the subject . . . I was able to get a 6.8, 6.9 & 7 flat in the 0-60 sec. My best quarter mile is 15.6 sec, with an average of 15.7. The Solara does have some power . . . but it is quite limited.
